Hi there! I’m Anni Friesen, a self-taught artist, illustrator, and designer. The thing I love most about creating is focusing on the beauty of the details. In this often chaotic world, paying attention to beauty of Duluth and the north woods helps to calm and center me. I hope you’ll feel some of that as you look at my paintings.

I started painting in 2010, after buying a house and not having any money to buy original art work. My DIY attitude lead me into painting, and I quickly fell in love with the peace of mind creating gave me.

My foray into graphic design followed a bit later, and I’m grateful to be able to use my illustrations to convey stories that others want to tell about their brands and organizations.

I live in beautiful Duluth, MN with my tenacious husband Kris, my feisty dog Gary Pup, and sweet old-lady cat Sephie.

My adventures take me around the world, but my heart always remains inspired by home.
